Fastest Times
Hey, I'm new to this forum. I'm really interested in the speedrunning aspect of Portal Prelude, and I have a background in speedrunning (I was part of the-elite.net, a community that holds the fastest Goldeneye and Perfect Dark times).
I would like to do something similar here: have a page that lists the fastest times/least portals/least steps for each stage and who set that record, and also I would like to try to have videos to accompany those scores.
Anyways, I figured I'd at least organize the fastest times so far. I'm pretty much just using the fastest times I can find on youtube. If any of these times are not the fastest times, then please post something faster with a link to prove it.

I couldn't find any for 15-19.
Again, if you know of any videos displaying faster times than these, let me know. And a little help on the last few levels would be nice...

Well, 2 isn't in the list of challenges that are timed, and neither is 6.
(And maybe my copy is screwed but when I try to do least time on 15 it takes me into least steps...)

I don't currently have my computer so I cannot run the chambers until late next week but I am surely going to cut down some times by a few seconds. I also have a route ready for chamber 17 and 15.

Is that fixable? I'd like to do a run of 15, I have a route ready as well.
I'm also adding 16 to the list, I made a video yesterday of 55 seconds, a rough sketch of the route I'm using at the moment (there are a few small parts I modify throughout that can save time but are considerably more difficult to pull off). I'd like to see what other people come up with for this level.

My brother is also a member, he speed runs goldeneye, his name is Luke Szklarz...do you know him?

Hmm...I'm not sure I recognize that name. I was more of a Perfect Dark player, and on the PD rankings people used aliases, not their real names, so maybe I knew him by his name on the PD rankings...
Edit - I took chamber 16 down to 50 seconds. The video is up.

I got 15 seconds when (at the start) I entered the console command "upgrade_portalgun" and tried the jump then finished the chamber.
Note: upgrade_portalgun works without sv_cheats turned on.

Maybe the game doens't 'know' you are 'cheating', but this is a far from legit method...

That's true. But I was trying to say that you shouldn't expect to get a high score on this site if you use that method

Hey Josh, just out of interest where are you from? I was at my local skate park and someone was wearing a portal shirt skateboarding...they looked like a Josh and so I thought it may be you. That is the first person I have seen ever to be wearing that shirt, so maybe it might be someone on this website.
