Problem with installer
My problem is that when I double click the installer, my computer freezes up.
My mouse moves, but I can't click on anything else. The only thing I can do is start up the task manager and restart my computer. I would end the process instead of restarting, but I don't know it's name. I tried "run as admin" but that doesn't help.
I'm running Vista Home Premium x64.
Q6600
2 GB of DDR2 @800MHz
8800GT w/ 512MB of RAM
Really looking forward to playing it, but I can't!!!!

If you have 7zip, right clic on the Instaler, and Extract
Then, copy the Portal Prelude file on your sourcemods dir

I don't have the 7zip. I have an .exe.
I'll try finding a mirror that has the zip file and get back to you. Thank you.

I think Mousse meant making the .exe extension to a .7z and then extracting it.

I'm having the same issues. Also on vista. The problem seems to be that the consent pop up doesn't appear or something along those lines.
I also have the .exe which isn't doing anything for me.

Finally got it working with a mixture of waiting, and telling consent.exe to work. Eventually the proper consent form pops up and installation starts.

I just googled and dowloaded 7zip.

Yep Vista doesn't like the installer much at all (x64 Home Premium), but after waiting 2 minutes it finally came up
