i got the problem!
but i solved it!!
set
-novid
in your launch options.
to get there,
right click the icon in your steamgames list,
click properties,
click "set launch options..."
type "-novid"
click "OK"
this causes it to skip the movie and avoid the problem!!!
my guess is that the video uses a codec that doesn´t like some soft/hardware configurations
and thus breaks the launch of the game.
(i also use this on TF2 to get a quicker launch)
***this is a answer to a problem in another threat, but that threat hasn't got a descriptive name, so now its more easy to find it when you had the same problem and was looking for a fix***
