Don't know if you saw this, but the ceiling has a bug with it.
I recorded a demo for you to see the problem.

-EDIT-
Sorry, it's not much of a glitch or bug, as much as it is a visual error. It doesn't really have any gameplay issues to it, so it's not as major as the other bugs.
Just figured I should point that out before you guys go downloading the demo file and viewing it.

I'm at work right now, is it related to the ceiling changing from metal to concrete and concrete to metal ?
Because if so, it's a workaround to allow the player to come back to the beginning of the test if he gets stuck somewhere after.

Ah, yes, that's the one. Still has a visual glitch though when looking at that area through the portal.
When you look directly at the ceiling, it is metal, but if you look at it through the portals, it is concrete. The texture changes back and forth when you look at it.

Actually, it seems to switch from metal to concrete each time you pass through a portal. Another issue with it (which may be intentional, I don't know) is that if you do place a portal there, and then pass through it, both of your portals will disappear, leaving you to negotiate the entire level again from the beginning.

Wishbone: I bet anything that this is intentional.
In puzzle 3 when you get the full portal gun, if you 'purposely' miss the jump and fall inside, a portal opens up so you can escape. Stepping inside deletes both portals right after stepping through, so it's probably just another version of this.
Same thing with the level with the lightning.
