Advanced Chamber Challenges!
These files will allow you to complete challeneges on the 6 advanced maps:

extract the file to the following location (if you installed the mod to the default location then this directory will be fine...)
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\portal prelude\scripts
it will ask you to overwrite the file 'bonus_maps_manifest.txt'
press yes otherwise you wont be able to see the folder to open the maps
this will not change any records or anything...
edit: i have added a folder icon so that it isnt just the plain pic of a folder...

Well, I've installed your scripts, it shows everything as it should be, but nothing shows in the elevator and the records are not registered when I finished the chambers.
Am I missing something?

Yep... but I believe it only required one extra script line or something? To trigger the count in the elevator and save the record.

Hum, it's a bit late. The update is already compiled/packaged/mostly ready, plus it would increase the size of the patch, which is already large enough.
I can try to release it alone, as a "bonus map pack", but we have other things to do right after the update, so... I can't promise anything.

So... monkeyman, what are your current records? I must say that I haven't tried any of the advanced chambers with least portals yet... But still, it would be nice to know!

i have only tried 3... i got:
chamber 05: 5
chamber 12: 9
chamber 14: 6
thats all iv done so far because i have been doing exams for the last few eeks and have absolutely no time whatsoever... :p
have u tried downloading this? because in your other topic, you said all u want is a timer... and this does time... just doesnt record it at the end...

Oh I meant that it was fine that you could only see the counter (time, steps, portals) ingame. If it doesn't show your record at the end, so be it. Btw, I think I did 12 in 8 portals :p. Haven't tried any other one yet. Chamber 19 is gonna be a pain in the ass... I haven't even done a decent run of the regular chamber yet haha.

edit: ok, i have created the files for this... and guess what?? it works! completely! valve were even good enough to put the thing in the final elevator so it records your scores...
i just put the challenge scores from the normal portal challenges... so most would be pretty difficult to get it imagine...
anyway... i will post it on thinkingwithportals (as that site is for portal, and this is for portal prelude...)
DZJB: give chamber 14 a go... getting 6 is tricky... :p

Actually... 6 isn't extremely hard... I've even been contemplating about doing it with 4 (legit)... But the step where you toss the cube on the button on the lower level is probably too random/impossible.

ok fine... lol
i though it was tricky cos i had to time the portals so i jumped through one portal, finred another, then got out of the way before the energy ball cal thru the portal and killed me...

Thats actually not hard, place the portal in the upper levels against the ceiling (you will do so anyway when shooting it from the middle level), the just crouch and shoot the other portal against the wall... the ball shouldn't kill you that way...
There is also a few alternate methods that take away that danger... I figured since it doesn't reduce the amount of portals it be useless to make an effort and tape it.

I haven't been able to pull of 14 in 6... But I did get Chamber 12 in 7 portals. Pretty easy actually.

EDIT: Chamber 5 is exactly the same like the normal chamber in execution. So 3 portals is doable, but very hard (stacking all those cameras). 4 is easier lol.
EDIT 2: Chamber 9 in 3 portals!
EDIT 3: Hmmm, Chamber 12 might be possible in 6, but I can't seem to get that damned camera off the wall that I need!
