I kind of messed up on the installation and installed portal prelude before installing steam,
any way i can uninstall the portal prelude files now that i have installed steam? because it is just taking up the space on my HD and i cant seem to find the files

Just search for the 'portal prelude' folder using Windows' search function. Then you can move it to the Steamapps folder where it belongs, or delete it.

There might be temp files left behind if the install didn't work properly, if u don't know where ur temp files are get a program like CCleaner to remove them for you.

That, or use Windows' own drive cleaner. It's usually under Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk cleanup
